Logistics Operator Halls & Ports – 5-Shift System (Tata Steel)

For Tata Steel, we are looking for a Logistics Operator Halls & Ports. The department is responsible for the physical distribution of finished products from factory warehouses to the customer. You will work closely with internal departments, transport companies and external parties such as shipping agents, pilots and customs. The work takes place in a 2- and 5-shift system within a heavy industrial environment.

As a Logistics Operator Halls & Ports, you are responsible for checking, storing, loading and unloading goods across multiple work areas, including halls, rolling mills and ports. You ensure goods are handled safely, correctly and efficiently in line with planning and safety procedures.

Your tasks include:

• storing, moving and loading steel coils and plates
• operating heavy forklifts, meclifts, overhead cranes and wagon pushers
• checking goods for quantity, damage and packaging
• registering location and transport data in administrative systems
• loading and unloading trucks, wagons and vessels
• stowing and securing cargo in a seaworthy manner
• performing user maintenance and inspections on equipment
• identifying and reporting deviations, malfunctions and unsafe situations

• MBO level 1 education or equivalent, preferably in logistics
• Experience in logistics within an industrial environment
• Experience with or willingness to operate heavy equipment (forklift >10 tons, overhead crane, meclift, wagon pusher)
• Knowledge of logistics registrations, transport orders and procedures
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
• Willingness to work in a 5-shift system
• Good communication skills and team spirit
• Willingness to undergo a pre-employment screening
