For a client operating within the industrial and utility sector, we are looking for an experienced Central Heating Engineer to work on a chemical site. The organisation is involved in large-scale and technically complex installations where safety, quality and craftsmanship are essential. Multiple projects are available, with opportunities on a freelance (ZZP) or employment basis.

About the position

As a central heating engineer, you will work independently on the maintenance and troubleshooting of large and complex heating systems within an industrial environment. You will strictly follow site-specific safety and operating procedures.
Your responsibilities include:

  • diagnosing and resolving faults in complex central heating systems
  • performing preventive and corrective maintenance
  • analysing hydraulic and control-related issues
  • carrying out repairs and adjustments
  • reporting completed work and findings
  • working safely in accordance with chemical site regulations
What we ask of you
  • Proven experience as a central heating engineer in industrial or utility environments
  • Experience with large-scale and complex heating systems
  • Ability to work independently on a chemical site
  • Valid certificates and qualifications (such as VCA and relevant trade diplomas)
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • High level of safety awareness
  • Own tools and transport required for freelance (ZZP)
